Project Morpheus Devs are “Hitting the Goldmine of Great Ideas,” Says Yoshida

In an interview with IGN, President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida talked about Sony’s VR headset, Project Morpheus, and mentioned that developers working on games and programs for the device are “hitting the goldmine of great ideas.”

We have introduced many takes on PlayStation for the last 10 years but this is the one that the developers are so excited about working on. We haven’t even announced that we would bring this to the market. Definitely our intent is that but we haven’t even announced the final product.

But the developers who are already working on VR, Morpheus, they are doing it because they feel they have to do it. And many of them believe that this is the time they should jump before almost anyone else. So it’s like many studios are working and we are discovering so many great, great experiences that we are not anticipating using VR. And I feel like developers are hitting the goldmine of great ideas.

While we have already seen glimpses of the creepy Project Morpheus title Summer Lesson and know that No Man’s Sky will be associated with the VR device somehow, there are still countless other titles that haven’t been revealed or are being kept a secret. What types of games would you want to see on the device when it finally comes out?
