After changing the PlayStation Network Status from Online to Intermittent Connectivity earlier this week – and keeping it that way for a couple days – Sony has once again updated the PSN Status, this time changing it to “Heavy Network Traffic,” but adding that the PSN is still Online.
Sony didn’t explain if the heavy network traffic will result in troubles with your PSN connection, and the message displayed on PlayStation Support still says, “Some latency may be experienced due to high volume. Should you continue to experience problems after PSN services are fully restored please refer to Contact Support.”
As always, we’ll continue to follow along with any updates given by PlayStation and Ask PlayStation, but hopefully this is heavy traffic is only temporary and doesn’t impact gameplay too much.
