Fans have known for a little while now that Kung Lao, the hat-wearing Shaolin monk, will be in Mortal Kombat X when it releases later this year. However, there was no indication as to what Lao would look like in the upcoming title until now.
In a recent tweet made by Ed Boo, the co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series, a screenshot of Lao beating “the KRAP” out of Scorpion can be seen. With his stylish, weaponized hat and a pretty snazzy outfit, Lao looks, quite simply, awesome.

This is only one of Lao’s looks, as each character has three stylistic variations that players can choose from. Mortal Kombat X is set to release on April 14 for PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think of the new screenshot? Is Lao everything you hoped he would be?
