Lumines IP Bought by Mobcast, Already Being Developed for Smartphones

Remember those Lumines games? The ones with that funky music, Tetris-like gameplay, and bright lights? Well, it looks like Q Entertainment has just sold the rights to Mobcast, a Japanese smartphone developer, so that the game can be brought onto mobile devices.

Originally created for PlayStation Portable, and later brought to PS2, PS Vita, PC, Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and even iOS, it looks like a new smartphone version of the classic title is already in the works, Mobcast announced earlier in the day. Neither a release date or which smartphones the game would come to was announced.

Did you ever have Lumines on one of the many systems in came onto? Would you buy it on your mobile device? Let us know in the comments.
