EA: Titanfall 2 Will “Probably” Have a Bigger Footprint Than Just One Platform

Adding another tease to the pile, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen spoke at the 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference yesterday (via GameSpot), suggesting the next Titanfall game might come to PlayStation 4.

Making sure to point out that a Titanfall sequel is still unannounced, Jorgensen pointed out that there will “probably” be another Titanfall game from them and Respawn, and it will “probably” be on more than one platform:

Last year it was on the Xbox only. In the future – we haven’t yet announced – but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us.

The first Titanfall released last year on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

Jorgensen also touched upon EA’s slate of of first-person shooters, highlighting that Battlefield Hardline and Star Wars: Battlefront are out in 2015, and Battlefield 5 is out in 2016. As they want to have at least one FPS per year, he suggested Titanfall 2 might be out in 2017.

The PS4 and Xbox One sales figures were given some attention by Jorgensen as well, where he said around 30 million combined consoles have been sold to date. Sony reported in January that 18.5 million PS4s have been sold since launch, so this would leave the Xbox One around 11.5 million.
