Techland Planning “Several Free Content Updates” for Dying Light, First One Launches in March 2015

Following their initial reveal yesterday of a future Dying Light update adding Hard Mode and new skins, developer Techland announced that there will be “several free content updates” over the next few months.

Scheduled for March 2015, Hard Mode will be included in the first of these free content updates, along with new characters outfits and many gameplay improvements.

Here’s what Hard Mode entails:

  • Ramped up nighttime difficulty
  • Deadlier and more vicious foes
  • Increased need for stealth and silence
  • Scarce resources and supplies
  • … and plenty of other additions

Producer Tymon Smektala talked about the upcoming updates:

A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we’re going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that. We’re aiming to have it out around the start of March, if not sooner. Depends on how brutal we wanna make this on people.

If you’d prefer to pay for content, the first Season Pass pack released this week.
