Included inside Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami has announced that Metal Gear Online will go live day one on September 1 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
A dedicated competitive multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online in The Phantom Pain is the third iteration of the game, and has been newly redesigned with the familiar gameplay and styling of the single player campaign.
Konami adds:
Metal Gear Online features a “class system” that more uniquely defines the strengths and abilities of player characters on the battlefield. Key characters from the series including Venom Snake and Ocelot will also make appearances in the anticipated multiplayer feature.
