Coming to us from Sega and Game Freak (Pokemon), Tembo the Badass Elephant is a 2D side-scrolling action adventure game set for release in Summer 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC as a digital title.

After Shell City is attacked by the forces of Phantom, led by a mysterious masked commander, General Krenman sends in the one thing that can save the city: “the peanut chompin’, villain stompin’, PHANTOM romping BADASS Elephantidae… TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT!”

Featuring 17 side-scrolling levels, you’ll be able to make Tembo jump, smash, punch, swing, and butt stomp his way through the enemies, all while aided by his companion Picolo.

Because you need even more elephant puns in your life, Sega Europe VP of Commercial Publishing John Clark talked about Tembo the Badass Elephant:

We’re delighted to be working with Game Freak to bring this heavyweight adventure to an audience we feel it will have relephants to. It’s a trunkful of fun and we think gamers are going to love it. Hopefully more than my rubbish elephant puns.

What do you think of the game? Do you have any good elephant puns?
