Rainbox Six Siege Closed Beta Coming to PS4 & Xbox One Later This Year

While Ubisoft seems to have deleted every trace of the 11-minute Rainbow Six Siege alpha gameplay video from the internet, they did comment on where the footage came from, with this statement sent to Eurogamer:

We have invited some media and influencers to try the game at our studio.

We are glad to say that they really enjoyed the experience and that soon you will be able to read their impressions. Stay tuned.

The Closed Alpha itself is PC-exclusive and coming soon, but after that, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will be able to take part in the Closed Beta. By pre-ordering Rainbow Six Siege, you’ll be guaranteed access to the Closed Beta, or you can be placed on a waiting list.

Ubisoft talked about the Closed Beta:

The Closed Beta, which includes all platforms, is the logical next step. Taking place sometime after the closed alpha when we’ve had time to analyze and act, it will have more content, better optimization and polish, and will be open to many more players.

The Closed Alpha and the Closed Beta will help us to build a stable experience and to playtest game elements on a very large scale. Whether you’re testing early on PC during the closed alpha, or helping us validate the experience once we open on all platforms, we’re looking forward to interacting with you and working together to make Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege the best it can be at launch.

In the Closed Beta FAQ, Ubisoft adds, “If you pre-ordered Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege prior to the promotion of the guaranteed closed beta access offer, your retailer will contact you with your closed beta access code prior to the closed beta going live.”

Expect more info on the Closed Beta “in the coming months.”
