Perhaps lost in all the attention surrounding Suspend/Resume, deleting 0% Trophies, and many more of the features found in PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.50 are Verified Accounts, where select game developers, producers, designers, and community managers will be verified with a badge on the PlayStation Network.

As revealed by Chris Owen, English Community Manager at PlayStation Europe, those who are verified will be given a checkmark next to their name, as you can see in the above screenshot.

However, if you’re looking to become verified, Owen said, “It’s similar to Twitter, there’s no application process.” This means it’s up to Sony to verify those who meet the criteria.

Owen also said his 5 Platinum Trophies come from The Walking Dead Season 1, LA Noire, Burnout Paradise, Wonderbook, and Sleeping Dogs, in case you were wondering.

Have you noticed any verified PSN accounts yet?
