Including cross-buy on PlayStation, OPQAM and Reverb have confirmed that Project Root is releasing for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One on April 28 in North America.
A “modern retake of the shoot ‘em up action genre,” Project Root has you playing as rebel ace Lance Rockport who pilots the advanced F-72 Zonda hover fighter against the ruthless Prometheus Corporation. Featuring eight “huge and open levels,” you’ll fight enemies both on the ground and in the air, while upgrading your firepower, armor, and maneuverability as you progress.
Technical Director Pablo Testa added:
We’ve been blasting countless enemies both on the ground and in the sky in Project Root for so long, we’re so excited that we’re just about a month away from gamers everywhere getting the chance to do the same. We are extremely proud of our first game, and think that SHMUP fans, and anyone who enjoys a fast-paced and action-packed videogame, will have a lot of fun with Project Root.
