1st Floor Sickroom
This area is pretty straightforward. You have just been killed by the feasting undead hound, and are back with a weapon. Approach the hound at normal speed – he will hear and spot you no matter how slowly you move towards him. Press R3 to lock onto him. If you’re feeling confident, take the first attack. I’d recommend keeping your weapon in close range mode, because the longer-range attacks take too long to fire off. Get ready for his incoming attack, and dodge him by strafing backwards. Move back and press circle to perform this. As he finishes his attack animation, move in and hit him with R1 a few times. If you don’t kill him after three or so attacks, dodge back again, wait for his attack, and repeat.
