Battlefield Hardline Sales Higher Than Expected, Says GAME CEO

United States isn’t the only country where Battlefield Hardline topped sales charts for the month of March 2015. The EA published Visceral Games’ shooter was the top-selling title for the same month in the UK as well. UK retailer GAME’s CEO Marytn Gibbs disclosed in the latest issue of MCV magazine that new releases were performing well, and that Battlefield Hardline performed above the company’s forecast.

This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise since the UK weekly sales charts showed Hardline repeatedly fending off other new releases including Bloodborne and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. The game also surpassed titles like Dying Light and Evolve to become the biggest All Formats No. 1 of 2015 in the UK back in March.

In our own review of the game, we appreciated the new take on Battlefield, but found that the story failed to captivate.

Battlefield Hardline is available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
