SEGA Won’t Have Its Own Booth at This Year’s E3

If you’re one of the few still hoping for a Shenmue 3 announcement at this year’s E3, then you might want to stop hoping, as SEGA has confirmed it won’t have its own booth at this year’s big show.

However, SEGA will be teaming up with other companies, so there is a possibility of its products appearing in other companies’ booths.

Here’s what a SEGA rep had to say on the matter:

Over the next months, SEGA of America will be focusing on the restructure and relocation to Southern California, and we have decided to not attend E3 with our own booth this yearWith the majority of our bigger titles launching later in 2015/2016, particularly those from our AAA studios Relic Entertainment, Sports Interactive and Creative Assembly, we are concentrating our efforts for some of these major announcements after our relocation. Instead, we will be collaborating with our various business partners for this year’s E3 show.

Does this mean we can dash any hopes of hearing any SEGA announcements at E3? Possibly so, but then again, there’s also a chance that Shenmue 3 — or any other game — could be revealed during Sony or Microsoft’s press conferences, no?
