Despite PlayStation Europe tweeting that “we’re aware of some PSN connectivity issues, engineers are investigating,” the PlayStation Network is back online following some downtime earlier today, which affected multiple platforms.
PlayStation Europe’s Chris Owen acknowledged the PSN downtime at just after 5am PT/8am ET, with the official PSN Status Page highlighting everything that was down earlier today:
Bungie also revealed on Twitter that Destiny is running smoothly again, following some interruptions due to the PSN downtime.

Recently, PlayStation President Andrew House revealed that Sony will invest in “continued network platform re-architecture” this fiscal year for the PlayStation Network, in hopes of decreasing downtime.
