No Multiplayer in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Naughty Dog Confirms

Update:

Responding to a couple more people about the lack of multiplayer, Monacelli said:

We don’t want to split up our awesome U2 and U3 MP communities that we have right now either. Everyone who buys collection will get U4 MP Beta access and it’ll be a fun way to get ready for U4!

And:

No MP from the first three games. We didn’t want to fracture the current player pool and community.

Original Story:

Practically a given when Sony only said Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes the single player campaigns of all three games, Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli confirmed that there won’t be any multiplayer in the collection:

No online MP for the game in the collection. Access to the U4 multiplayer beta will be included tho!

If you were hoping for a standalone multiplayer release, Monacelli shot that down by saying, “No plans to release MP again. There’s access to the U4 beta so you’ll get your multiplayer fix.”

With the Nathan Drake Collection now available from pre-order, we know it will cost $59.99 in the United States, $74.99 in Canada, and £49.99 in the UK.

All pre-orders of the game include “early access to the Nathan Drake Pack at game launch,” with the digital pre-order adding a Nathan Drake Collection dynamic theme, which you can download right away.

While no file size was listed for the full game, the digital version unlocks at 12am ET on Friday, October 9 in North America.
