Buttslide to Victory in Action Henk, Coming This Summer to PS4, PS3 & PS Vita

Originally developed by RageSquid for PC, Curve Digital is bringing Action Henk to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Wii U in Q3 2015, complete with cross-buy on PlayStation.

Racing against other 90’s action figures to prove who is the fastest, Action Henk features more than 70 levels with multiple routes, boss races, unlockable characters, dedicated grappling hook levels, lots of medals to beat, and more.

The description adds:

Action Henk is a blistering race through a toybox world, where a cast of classic action-figure inspired characters compete to see who is the fastest toy in town. The game challenges players to shave milliseconds off their times by running, jumping and butt-sliding across over 70 challenging levels in a game which revels in almost sonic speeds.

It’s a pure, unadulterated joy at a constantly eye-watering pace as tracks and courses offer multiple routes to the goal. Collect bronze, silver, gold or even rainbow medals to unlock new worlds and greater challenges as wild and whacky characters emerge to provide greater opposition. And if that’s not enough: tackle awesome boss races in order to unlock mind-boggling bonus levels.

Features:

  • Challenging levels: Tackle over 70 unique levels filled with jumps, slides, and tricky shortcuts. Can you master every twist and turn to beat your friends and gain your rightful place on the leaderboards?
  • Challenge your friends: Load up your favorite levels and race against your friend’s ghosts to see who is truly the best! Beat their times and instantly send them a notification to rub in your newly gained victory. Up for a real challenge? Use the built-in Twitch chat integration to take on your viewer’s ghosts!
  • Unlockable characters: Play as the slightly out-of-shape Action Henk or any of the five unlockable action figures, and play through the singleplayer campaign and bonus levels to earn a full toy wardrobe of distinctive skins!
  • Bouncing beats: A pumping soundtrack by demoscene musician Wiklund, a profesionally voiced cast of ragged 90s action figures, and sound design by the critically acclaimed Power Up Audio.

Roel Ezendam, Co-Founder of RageSquid, says, “We’ve been overwhelmed by the reaction to Action Henk on PC, but it’s always a game we wanted to see in the hands of console players, so the decision to work with Curve Digital – with their reputation and experience – was a simple one. We’ve got some big plans for the console versions and can’t wait to see PlayStation, Xbox One, and Wii U players racing up the leaderboards.”
