Street Fighter V is a PS4 Console Exclusive Forever, is Never Coming to Xbox One

If you were wondering whether or not the Street Fighter V PlayStation 4 console exclusivity deal would eventually expire, allowing Capcom to bring the game to Xbox One, a company representative confirmed to GameSpot yesterday that SFV will only ever appear on PS4 and PC.

Additionally, any games that carry the Street Fighter V name will never come to Xbox One, as the Capcom rep explained:

One comment we see a lot is that something like a Super Street Fighter 5 is going to come out on Xbox. But the reality is that this is a real partnership. We are console exclusive for this franchise for this numbered run.

While the rep wouldn’t discuss post-launch content for SFV, they did say that “the relationship with Sony does open doors for things we haven’t been able to do in the past,” which goes past a marketing value and extends to gameplay and development.
