Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment PS4 Release Date in Europe Announced With New Trailer

A PlayStation 4 version of the PlayStation Vita game, Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment is releasing on July 28 in Europe through the PlayStation Store. A North American release is still scheduled for Summer 2015.

The trailer description says, “Learn more about the new characters, improvements, and new stories unfolding in the new adventure in the world of Sword Art Online!”

As well, the game is getting a “completely reworked set of English subtitles.”

Based on the anime and featuring an original story, here’s the description for Re: Hollow Fragment:

In Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment, players will play as the main character, Kirito, and fight through all the levels of Aincrad to break free from being locked within the virtual game world. Players with save data from the PlayStation Vita version of the game on will be pleased to learn that some items from that game will be transferrable to the PlayStation 4; additionally DLC from the PlayStation Vita title will be unlockable on the PlayStation 4 at a later date.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song, the third Sword Art Online console game, will follow in Fall 2015 for the PS4 and PS Vita. Beginning at 2:45 of the above trailer, you’ll get a look at Lost Song.
