Limited Edition Destiny: The Taken King PS4 Console Bundle Launches With the Game in September

With Bungie Day upon us, Sony has announced that a Limited Edition Destiny: The Taken King 500GB PlayStation 4 Bundle is releasing alongside the game on September 15 in North America and Europe.

Not given a price yet, The Taken King Bundle includes a white Destiny-inspired 500GB Limited Edition PS4 system and a physical copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, Expansions I (The Dark Below) and II (House of Wolves), and The Taken King. An upgrade to the Digital Collector’s Edition will also be included, giving you three exotic Guardian class items with XP bonuses, three classic-specific emotes, three armor shaders, as well as the early access weapons pack.

Sony talked about The Taken King and its PlayStation-exclusive content, which will remain exclusive until at least Fall 2016:

Highlights include a new Campaign adventure complete with a new story, new Guardian sub-classes with new Supers, new activities, new rewards, new weapons, new PvP maps, and much, much more. If you haven’t jumped into Destiny yet, this is a great opportunity to catch up since it gives you all content from launch. Also, existing players on PS3 can update to this version on PS4 without losing any progress.

And of course, PS4 owners score access to fresh PlayStation-exclusive content*: a co-op Strike (Echo Chamber), a PvP multiplayer map (Sector 618), three legendary gear sets (Hesperos, Azoth Bend, and Neuroghast), plus an exotic scout rifle (the Jade Rabbit).

Europe will also receive a Destiny: The Taken King bundle which includes a PS4 and DualShock 4 in Jet Black, along with the Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition.

What do you think of the new PS4 bundle? Did you spot the issue with the DualShock 4 in the above image?
