Journey PS4 vs PS3 Comparison Video Shows off the Visual Improvements

July 21, 2015 Written by Jason Dunning

With Journey available today on PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe, Eurogamer did a comparison video of the PS4 version running at 1080p/60fps and the PlayStation 3 version running at 720p (upscaled to 1080p for the video).

If you purchased Journey on PS3, it will be available for free on PS4 through cross-buy. As thatgamecompany explained to those having issues:

#JourneyPS4 Cross-Buy: Please wait for Sony’s servers to propagate. It’ll appear in your Download List soon, if it’s not there already.

The same thing happened globally with #flOwPS4 and #FlowerPS4. It shouldn’t take too long. All the servers just have to propagate.

At least in the UK, a workaround if you can’t find Journey on PS4 is to “go through https://store.playstation.com/ and select Choose Version. There should be a Free option there.”

As well, Sony is looking into giving out the Journey PS4 theme to those who already own the game, as it was given away to those who pre-ordered it. “Sony Santa Monica is actively looking into getting it released for early purchasers, but we don’t have further details,” thatgamecompany said.

Finally, if you’re wondering why Journey doesn’t have a Platinum Trophy, thatgamecompany replied: “We didn’t put a platinum Trophy in when it was first released, as it was very rare for a digital game to have one.”

Will you be playing Journey on PS4 today?
