Reaching the 2 million mark in the United Kingdom this past May, Sony revealed to MCV that the PlayStation 4 has been the #1 selling console in the UK every month so far this year.
A big reason for the PS4’s continued success in June was the limited edition Batman: Arkham Knight console bundle, which also helped Sony win in the United States during June.
As a PlayStation spokesperson said:
We are delighted with the success of both Batman Arkham Knight, with its exclusive PlayStation 4 content, and the limited edition Batman PS4 bundle.
It contributed significantly to PlayStation 4 leading next-gen sales for the month of June – continuing our successful streak winning every month this year so far.
Currently, Batman: Arkham Knight is the fastest-selling game of 2015 in the UK, while The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is second.
Earlier today, Sony revealed that PS4 sales worldwide have topped 25 million. The PS4 is also winning “by a considerable margin” over the Xbox One when it comes to Europe.
