Comcept’s Red Ash Loses Kickstarter Backers as It Secures Publisher, PS4 Version Confirmed

A while ago, we reported that Comcept had added a PlayStation 4 stretch goal to its Kickstarter campaign for Red Ash: The Indelible Legend, a title influenced by Mega Man Legends. On Wednesday this week, Comcept announced that it has secured a publisher, FUZE Entertainment, which will also handle the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Following this announcement, Comcept said that the Kickstarter campaign will now be used to raise extra funds for additional stretch goals, which start at $800,000. Understandably, this didn’t go down too well.

Criticisms aside, a number of backers are withdrawing from the project. It is unclear exactly how much the campaign lost, but according to Destructoid, the figure sits at around $4,000. However, going by the fluctuating pledged amount, it does seem that it has gained some backers while losing others. Regardless, it seems unlikely that Comcept will receive anything close to $800,000.
