Volume Delayed on PS Vita, PS4 Version Launches Today

While you’ll be able to play Volume today in North America and tomorrow in Europe on PlayStation 4 and PC, developer Mike Bithell announced that the PlayStation Vita version is delayed by a couple weeks:

Unfortunately, we unexpectedly had to make the decision to hold off on the Vita version for a couple weeks to get it where we want it. It’s so very nearly ready, but it needs a little more love. A few personal problems and issues have slowed down our submittal, so even though the game is “done” on Vita, we still have some QA process to go through (because that stuff matters).

When Volume does come out on PS Vita, it will still include cross-buy and cross-save with the PS4 version.

Here’s what Bithell says about Volume:

For those who know nothing about Volume (and thank you for your interest in reading this far!), it’s a stealth action game with a robust level editor. We’ve got a 100-level campaign voiced by all the talent mentioned above (and a few surprise guest stars). The story is a spin on the Robin Hood legend, as Locksley takes over a virtual training simulator and broadcasts the blueprints to commit crimes against the corrupt elite of England.

The reason I mentioned Volume’s level editor is robust is because everything you see in the game was made using it. All those tools are available to players for uploading their own content and sharing with friends.

If you’re looking to pick up Volume on PS4 this week, it’s priced at $19.99/£14.99.
