Former CEO John Smedley Leaves Daybreak to Form New Company
After John Smedley had to step down as Daybreak’s CEO for posting numerous comments on Twitter about the hacker group Lizard Squad that resulted in some game servers being taken down, it was said that he would take on a different role in the company. However, it looks like Smedley has decided to leave Daybreak Games all together and start his own company.
On his Facebook page, a new event notes that he has begun working at “New Company,” although the name of the company wasn’t revealed, nor were any details on what the company will do.
When asked by Game Informer, Smedley explained that more details will be coming in the next few weeks.
