Have you received your Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collector’s Edition a little early and noticed that all the download codes are missing from the package? Well, you’re not the only one. Quite a few users have reported the missing codes on Reddit, but Konami is apparently aware of the problem and it appears that sellers will be emailing codes out to their customers next week.

OK. So we made the unboxing of the Collector’s Edition on YouTube yesterday and we noticed they didn’t have DLC codes anywhere. We talked to Konami and they gave us an answer: because of an error on the process, PS4 editions don’t have DLC codes on the box. Xbox One editions have them. Next week, Konami will send us the DLC codes for giving them to our clients. I suppose this will happen on every retailer.

Another user Quid_Pro_Bono reported that he spoke to Amazon’s customer services team, and a member confirmed that they’ll be emailing the codes after the games ship. It’s unclear how widespread this problem is, but a Chilean buyer claims he didn’t find any codes in his package either.

We’ll update our readers when more details become available.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases next Tuesday so stay tuned for our review. In the meanwhile, here’s everything you need to know about the title.
