While Uncharted fans are most likely happy at the release date announcement of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End earlier today, don’t forget that players won’t have to wait that long to sample some Uncharted 4 gameplay.
In case some have forgotten, included in the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is exclusive access to the Uncharted 4 beta, which is set for release in just a few short weeks. But when will players be able to actually play the beta? Apparently, news about it will be out “soon.”
In an interview at PAX Prime, Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli was asked, “The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, and that’s next year sometime, do you guys have a date on that?“
Here’s Monacelli’s response:
We don’t have a date quite yet, but we’re gonna be releasing some info about it really soon.
Unfortunately, that “next year” part of the question wasn’t dismissed, so there is a chance that while we could get news about the Uncharted 4 beta soon, the actual beta client won’t be available this year. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait that long, no?
