PS4 Sales Cross One Million in the Middle East

At a press event today, Sony announced that PlayStation 4 sales have crossed one million units in the Middle East.

Sony Computer Entertainment Middle East and North Africa General Manager Robert Fisser thanked gamers for their support of PlayStation, and he’s already looking forward to what’s next. “On to the next million,” Fisser said, “I already have the stock ready!”

After adding Arabic language support to PS4 last year, Sony added Arabic language support to the PlayStation Store earlier this year.

Sitting at 25.3 million worldwide as of June 30, PS4 sales have also crossed at least one million in these countries: France, UK, Germany, and Japan.

Already in the public beta stage, PS4 firmware update 3.00 is expected to release in the next few weeks, adding features like increased cloud storage for PlayStation Plus members, YouTube livestreaming, a new Events hub, Favorite Groups, Communities based around shared interests, and more.
