While it was pretty much a given that Sony’s Tokyo Game Show 2015 press conference tomorrow was going to feature new game reveals and interesting announcements, PlayStation Europe officially confirmed it.
After saying on Twitter that there will be “new game reveals,” SCEE Blog Manager Fred Dutton talked about how the 90-minute show beginning at 12am PT/3am ET/8am BST will be worth watching for those outside of Japan:
While we’ll stress that the briefing is primarily aimed at a Japanese audience and not everything featured is guaranteed to make it to European shores, there will be enough on show to make it worth being a little late for work/school.
The stream will be translated in English and we’ll have a post up prior to the press conference where you can watch the whole thing.

Phantom hijacks stage with
Persona 5 skipped E3 and we've had Atlus radio silence ever since. That is, apart from Atlus USA PR rep John Hardin reassuring and re-reassuring gamers that it's coming out within 2015, even internationally. You know what? I believe the guy. Why? Atlus.
If it were anyone else, I wouldn't, but Atlus has a history of being a bit unorthodox. Earlier this year, one of its Persona 5 info/trailer reveals came at a live Persona music event and was staged as a terrorist attack. Yeah. They posted videos with a solemn news anchor reporting attack threats on the event. It was never supposed to be real, but you definitely won't see other companies pulling something like that. Hell no.
They've constantly messed with press and fans alike when it comes to release plans, but both of those groups have the memories of goldfish, so naturally Atlus will play on. I'm betting that during either the Persona Special Stage or maybe even the even bigger surprise, one of Sega's stage shows. BOOM! The Phantom appears, or a note drops from the sky, or Sting is walking around in the rafters or something. There's a note that contains nothing but a month and a day -- or even just two numbers.
"First there's an eleven," the announcer says feigning confusion, "And then an 18. WHAT COULD IT MEAN, CLUELESS COHOST?" We all fucking know what it means.

Dragon's Dogma Online Comes West
Capcom recently announced that the Dragon's Dogma franchise is a huge hit, and that Dragon's Dogma Online has a crapload of players. Know what every game company loves? A sure thing. It's very rare for TGS to be used as a place to announce foreign localizations, but I can see Capcom making an exception, especially because they could make that announcement while reminding all the domestic media: "Hey, DDO just came out and it's awesome, why aren't you playing it?"

New Yakuza is STILL Cross Gen
Rather than give the moniker the break it needs, rather than move it to Vita where the series could at least try some new territory, Sega will tap the fast-drying well of console Yakuza.
Yakuza is going through some serious franchise fatigue and needs a break, but Sega gonna Sega.
Don't confuse my point here. As someone who loves the series, I'd like more console Yakuza, but sales have been in a steady decline since part 3. Sega, however, will not choose to go full-on PS4 or work Japan's healthy handheld scene, and do the same old same old dying Yakuza release model that Ishin and Zero used. A new Yakuza game will be announced for PS3 and PS4, set to release in mid 2016.
I hope you and I are wrong on that one though. That franchise needs a rest.

One big Final Fantasy gets some substance, others don't
Gamescom and PAX featured FFXV, while E3 was the debut of the FFVII Remake. Square Enix doesn't usually bring out the heavy hitters from within the same franchise at the same time, so if one of these gets a surprise gameplay video or new trailer reveal, the other will likely get no update of any kind.
Or maybe TGS is the FFXII Remaster's time to shine? Or World of Final Fantasy? Whatever happens, pattern shows that not all upcoming FFs will get the love. Square likes to spread that around.
