Here’s When the Star Wars Battlefront Beta Opens Today on PS4, Xbox One & PC

Listed at 7.4GB, the Star Wars Battlefront beta is now available to download from the PlayStation Store in North America and Europe.

With the beta available in Europe, EA now says access has begun:

Playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the Star Wars Battlefront beta will open up to everyone today at 10am PT/1pm ET, according to Community Manager Mat Everett:

The #StarWarsBattlefront Beta will open up on Oct 8th 10 AM PST.

The beta runs from October 8 – 12 and Everett now says the download is “8GB console, 11GB PC.”

Those of you in Europe can now grab the beta file, which the PlayStation Store says is 7.4GB.

If EA reveals any further details about the beta today, we’ll update this post.

Previewed by us over here, the Star Wars Battlefront beta includes these planets and game modes:

• Walker Assault on Hoth – Fight in epic 40-player battles as a Rebel to destroy the Empire’s onslaught of AT-AT’s by calling in Y-wing bombers. Or, side with the Empire and protect your walkers while utilizing their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective.
• Drop Zone on Sullust – Escape pods are crashing down and you and your team must fight to control them. With its frantic 8v8 matches, Drop Zone is sure to put your combat and strategy skills to the test.
• Survival Mission on Tatooine – Play alone or with a friend via co-op or split-screen as you battle to hold off waves of Imperial forces including AT-ST’s, TIE fighters, elite stormtroopers, and more.
