Minecraft Update 1.21 Today on PS4, PS3 & PS Vita Adds Halloween & Star Wars Prequel Pack Support

Available now in Europe and Japan, with North America getting it later today, Minecraft update 1.21 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita adds support for the new skin packs today, while also fixing an issue.

Here’s the full list of patch notes for today’s update, which are applicable to all platforms:

  • Added Halloween 2015 Mash-up Pack trial content.
  • Added Star Wars Prequel Skin Pack trial content.
  • Fixed a small memory leak with signs.
  • Added colored light from torches (for Halloween 2015 Mash-up Pack).

An update is also available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 “to enable the Halloween Mash-up, Star Wars Prequel Skin Pack, and the Halo Mash-up update!”

Priced at €3.99/£3.29, the Halloween Mashup Pack is available today and includes 43 skins and a texture pack. Here’s what Sony says about the pack:

The skins on offer have something of an old-school Halloween vibe. Here are some examples: Grim Reaper, Bride of Frankenstein, Wicked Witch, Tree Face, Mad Doctor, Swamp Monster and, of course, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. As with all our packs, you’ll be able to download a few of them for free.

As for the Star Wars Prequel Pack, it releases tomorrow for €2.99/£2.49 and includes more than 50 skins:

From the scheming Senator Palpatine to the courageous Queen Amidala, and of course, the powerful Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, you are free to build new worlds with iconic characters. Minecrafters can enjoy more than 50 character skins from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and relive the rise of the Galactic Empire block by block.

Will you be getting either of the skin packs?
