Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Release Date Delayed to August 23, 2016

Marking another early 2016 title to undergo a delay, Eidos Montreal announced today that the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided release date has been moved from February 23, 2016 to August 23, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

In a statement by David Anfossi, Eidos Montreal Head of Studio, he said they’re aiming for Mankind Divided to be a worthy successor to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He knows expectations are high, and “we not only want to meet those expectations, but exceed them.”

He continued:

We’re confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move the release date of the game to August 23, 2016.

We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you for all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on quality.

What do you think of the delay?
