Spoiler Alert – Fallout 4 Endings

Hello everyone, and welcome to “Spoiler Alert,” a PSLS original feature that gives the PlayStation LifeStyle community a safe place to come and discuss spoilers about various games, while providing spoiler-filled videos of the endings and other major plot points. If you want to see the latest games’ endings and talk about it, you’ve come to the right place!

Today we’re looking at a couple of the different Fallout 4 endings. There are four different faction endings that are possible with Bethesda’s latest, and a myriad of possible ways to reach each of those. We’ve chosen to focus on a couple of those scenarios and some of the unique faction missions leading up to them.

Be warned, from here forward there are major spoilers for Fallout 4. If you don’t want to be spoiled, turn away now. If you haven’t read our SPOILER FREE review, you should click here to go check it out.

Here’s a cute picture of Dogmeat to separate man from the spoilers. After the jump, the spoilers begin. Final warning.

Fallout 4 Dogmeat

In the mission leading up to the Brotherhood of Steel’s ending, you power up and escort Liberty Prime, the enormous communist hating robot last seen in Fallout 3, through a wrecked Boston to blow a hole in the ruins of CIT and attack the Institute. Hilarious dialogue, mini nuclear attacks, and a salute to take pride in America can all be expected in this mission leading to the BoS ending.

Here is the Brotherhood of Steel’s final ending sequence.

After your victory with the Brotherhood, Elder Maxson will grant you the rank of Sentinel, a rare honor that few achieve. You’ll also get the jet pack mod for your power armor which isn’t nearly as cool as it sounds. There’s no flying involved. It’s basically a jet assisted boost jump that stops when your AP runs out. You can watch the rank promotion and a very glitchy capture of the use of the jet pack mod below.

Now we’ll jump to the other side of the fence and destroy the Brotherhood with the help of the Institute. Instead of Liberty Prime being used to break into the Institute, it is turned on the Brotherhood and used to crash the Brotherhood of Steel’s airship, the Prydwen.

And finally, here is the ending that you get when you choose to side with the Institute’s way of thinking.

What did you think of Fallout 4’s ending(s)? Which faction did you side with? My “real” playthrough is now going to be siding with the Railroad, but there are some things I learned through each faction’s quest lines that makes me really want a more amicable solution for all. Feel free to discuss game spoilers in the comments below.
