In their latest monthly report for worldwide digital game sales, SuperData reveals that the market was up 7% year-over-year to $5.5 billion – the highest point so far in 2015.

As part of their breakdown, SuperData says all segments grew in revenue, save for pay-to-play MMOs. This includes digital console revenue, which was up 14% to $375 million, thanks in large part to increased spending in North America. The growing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One install base also drove digital console earnings by 41%.

Here’s the top-selling digital console games for October 2015 (October 1 – 31), ranked by worldwide revenues across digital platforms, including add-on content, according to SuperData:

  1. FIFA 16
  2. Destiny
  3. Grand Theft Auto V
  4. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
  5. FIFA 15

FIFA 16’s success, and FIFA 15’s re-appearance on the chart, were thanks to additional content:

As publishers held off on major new releases until late October and early November, legacy tiles with strong additional content sales won out on PC and console. EA’s FIFA 16 earned 52% of its October digital revenue from additional content, and strong sales of FIFA Ultimate Team card packs also boosted the year-old FIFA 15, earning it a spot on the top-five digital console titles.
