Japanese Sales Chart: Wii U & 3DS Fend off Strong Push by PS4 & PS Vita

With the holiday season heating up, every single piece of hardware saw a sales increase compared to last week, but it was the 3DS LL that took home first place, moving 81,000 units.

Thanks to a jump of 15,000 units, the Wii U finished in 2nd, holding off the PlayStation 4 in 3rd. This left the PlayStation Vita in 4th, but it saw a big rise of 13,000 to sell 35,000 units.

On the software side of things, Monster Hunter X for 3DS ended up in first yet again, eclipsing the two million lifetime mark.
