Naughty Dog Enters Crunch Time in Anticipation of Uncharted 4

January 19, 2016 Written by Michael Briers

With an April 26 release date now in place, Naughty Dog is beginning to order all hands to the pump in anticipation of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Entering the fabled crunch mode, a term in software development for that all-important period close to a deadline, the sequel’s Creative Director Neil Druckmann recently took to Twitter to share the following message.

Bearing in mind that Uncharted 4 has now been delayed twice, this is by no means the first time that Naughty Dog has neared a deadline, though all signs point to the studio hitting the April target.

Emerging from a somewhat troubled production, the creative team at Naughty Dog have continually hinted that A Thief’s End may very well be the last chapter in the story of Nathan Drake — at the very least, it appears it will be hard to create a sequel that includes our swashbuckling hero after Uncharted 4 releases. Smoke and mirrors, or genuine tease?

All will be revealed when Uncharted 4 rappels onto PlayStation 4 come April 26.
