Exploration Adventure Game Kholat Gets a March 8 PS4 Release Date

Released last June on PC, exploration adventure game Kholat is coming to PlayStation 4 on March 8 in North America and Europe, IMGN.PRO announced today.

IMGN.PRO explained that the release date unveiling today is no accident, as it marks exactly 57 years since the Dyatlov Pass Incident, which was their main inspiration during Kholat’s creation:

It was the event that took the lives of 9 Russian students, hiking the Ural Mountains, on the night of February 2nd 1959. The real cause of this tragedy is still unknown, with many hypothesis arising during the years.

Narrated by Sean Bean, Kholat has elements of horror mixed in with the exploration and adventure. “The player will plunge directly into the boundless scenery of the inhospitable Ural Mountains with the task to find out what really happened,” the description adds.

According to the details on Steam, Kholat takes 4-6 hours to beat, features a non-linear open world, and in-game navigation is done by map and compass.
