Sony has officially launched both the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact in the States, and took to PlayStation Blog to publish a beginner’s guide detailing how to pair either model to PlayStation 4 via Remote Play.
Directing users to the official PS4 Remote Play app, the set of instructions encourages fans to register a DualShock 4 for optimal playing conditions.
Upon downloading the Remote Play app and connecting the controller, here are some final tips for newcomers to either the Xperia, PlayStation 4, or both.
- Don’t forget to connect your PS4 and Xperia Z5 to the same local Wi-Fi network. With PS4 Remote Play you can keep playing in your room, in the kitchen, on the front porch, or anywhere else in your home where you have a Wi-Fi signal.
- The Xperia Z5 fully supports DualShock 4 — pair it with the official Game Control Mount GCM10 (shown below, available separately) for maximum flexibility.
- If you choose not to use DualShock 4, you can still play on your phone by using the onscreen controls.
Sony’s Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are available from today in major retailers across the US.
