Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 New Weapons Now Available in the Black Market

In case Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s rank progression and unlocks aren’t enough for you, Treyarch has rolled out new weapons and camo skins in Black Ops 3’s Black Market. Yep, you read that right; new weapons — not skins or re-skins of weapons already out — can only be accessible on the Black Market, Black Ops 3’s answer to Destiny’s Cryptarch.

Included in the latest Black Market update are the NX Shadow Claw Crossbow, Marshal 16 Shotgun-Pistol and the MX Garand Assault Rifle, a crowbar, long sword and a bunch of new weapon skins and character gear sets. According to the official Call of Duty Twitter, there are over 100 new items in total that’s new.

You can watch the weapons in action in the trailer above.

Given how random the Black Market doles out good items, I suspect Black Ops 3 players will have to grind a lot of cryptokeys to get one of the new weapons. Either that or they have to purchase a lot of CoD Points with real world currency to expedite the process. Don’t believe me? Watch us open 60 Rare supply drops in a row and fail big time in getting anything good.

Are you OK with Treyarch gating weapons in the Black Market? Is this better than limiting it to DLC and/or Season Pass holders or should the weapons be free for everyone without any gating whatsoever?
