In the announcement for a new line of Titanfall action figures out in winter 2016, McFarlane Toys said that they “will be released in conjunction with the highly anticipated launch of Titanfall 2.”
As CEO Todd McFarlane added in the press release, “This is a perfect fit. McFarlane [Toys] was created so I could make cool stuff just like this. Without saying too much about the new game… You’re not going to believe where we can take this.”
On the McFarlane Toys website, they say, “The hotly anticipated Titanfall 2 will deliver the frantic action fans have come to love, plus dramatically charged cinematic moments through all-new memorable characters.”
When asked for comment by Eurogamer, EA replied, “MacFarlane Toys will be releasing toys inspired by Titanfall in Winter of 2016. We have yet to provide a release date for the next Titanfall experience from Respawn.”
Titanfall 2 was first announced last year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with EA saying in their earnings call last month, “We are excited to have a new Titanfall experience coming from our friends at Respawn.” At the time they gave it a release window of October 2016 – March 2017.
According to Lead Writer Jesse Stern, Titanfall 2 will feature a dedicated single-player campaign.
