Lindsay Lohan’s GTA 5 Lawsuit Heats Up as Legal Case Gets Go-Ahead From US Judge

Not since mid-2014 has news emerged regarding the legal lawsuit filed by Lindsay Lohan against Rockstar Games, but today brings word of a new development in the case.

According to The Hollywood Report, the Mean Girls actress recently nabbed a preliminary victory after it was revealed that the New York Supreme Court won’t dismiss the court case after all.

Claiming that Rockstar used her likeness for Lacey Jonas — the GTA V character plastered across billboards, buses, posters and more — Lohan first sued the studio soon after the game’s release.

Initially, Rockstar had moved to block the lawsuit from advancing any further, stating that the actress’ claims were little more than a publicity stunt. Now, though, the legal case will move forward, regardless of Rockstar pushing for a dismissal.

It’s a move that sparked quite the reaction via Twitter, with GTA V voice actor Ned Luke (Michael) offering his own two cents.

What do you make of the legal spiel?
