Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Teaser Drops, Lets You “Know Your Enemy”

Following reports that the next Call of Duty will be titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and connecting to yesterday’s Easter egg in Black Ops 3’s Nuk3town map, Activision has now released the first teaser for this year’s Call of Duty game.

In the short 30-second teaser above titled “Know Your Enemy,” we see a bald guy wearing armor who fires off a bunch of threatening statements which he claims are from the Settlement Defense Front, which we assume is the name of Infinite Warfare’s new antagonists. Additionally, the guy in the video mentions stuff like, “we are the architects of your pain,” and “we will build monuments to your destruction” and more.

Give it a watch and check for yourself.

Few things to note: at about seven seconds in, the words “Nuketown Offline” flashes on the screen quick, which could hint that this is for Black Ops 3 and not for the new Call of Duty. However, given how this same text appears in Black Ops 3’s Nuketown map now, and the fact that cross-promoting Call of Duty games from the different teams have indeed happened in the past, we’re inclined this is a teaser for Infinite Warfare and not just for Black Ops 3 DLC. You can also see the familiar skullface popularized in Modern Warfare 3 character, Ghost, which is of course, a character in an Infinity Ward-developed Call of Duty game.

The official Call of Duty Twitter also changed its icon and background to look like this:

Also, downloading the image from the YouTube video will give you the file name: “GenesisReveal_SDF_YouTube_ChannelCover.png” which could either mean Genesis as the beginning, or maybe Genesis is the name of the person talking in the video? SDF of course refers to Settlement Defense Force.

Bear in mind that Activision or Infinity Ward has confirmed anything, so this could be part of Black Ops 3’s Season Pass or something else, but I highly doubt it.

In related news, it seems Infinite Warfare will come bundled with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remastered and yes, the alleged full game download will also contain the multiplayer component. However you have to get the game at a higher price.
