Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Has Dedicated Servers, Is Only Available With Infinite Warfare

Releasing a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered FAQ on Activision Support, the publisher confirmed that the game will feature dedicated servers, and you can only get it by purchasing one of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s special editions.

For availability, Activision said, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.” In a follow-up question asking if you could buy the game separately, they said, “No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.”

As for whether or not it will be released through a disc, Activision said, “No, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game digital download that will be included in the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Internet connection required.”

Looking at the multiplayer of Modern Warfare Remastered, which includes 10 fan-favorite maps, Activision confirmed that it will have dedicated servers. Additionally, the movement system “will stay true to the original game.”

They also talked about progression:

Yes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will have a full, standalone multiplayer progression system, with the ability to unlock weapons, perks, weapon attachments, and reach Master Prestige.

If you played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, your stats won’t carry over to Modern Warfare Remastered.
