With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s final expansion out May 31, CD Projekt RED will be moving on to Cyberpunk 2077 and has no plans to release any more content for the game except updates. Although the third entry in the series wrapped up Geralt’s story, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has told Eurogamer that he personally hopes to return to The Witcher at some point in the future.

Personally, I hope that someday in the future we will do something more because I love the setting and I worked on The Witcher games around 12 years now. But I don’t know what we will decide. The strategy plan they’ve got they will share with us soon. We’ll see.

Back in March, the studio said that it had no plans for a Witcher 4 at present but that it’s working on another AAA RPG, which it will develop and release between 2017 and 2021 alongside Cyberpunk 2077.
