Kojima Productions to Be Capped at 100 Staff

New information continues to come to light regarding Kojima Productions — only this time it doesn’t involve the company’s newly-revealed mascot.

Speaking during a recent roundtable interview (per Gamereactor) Hideo Kojima noted his desire to model the studio after LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway dev Media Molecule in that the staff will be capped at around 100, allowing for a “small, intimate” type of work force.

“I’m aiming to keep the staff less than 100 people. I am searching for technology and at the same time hiring new people, and visiting the (…) studio to get inspiration about what kind of studio I want to make/create. We aim to make a kind of small, intimate type of studio, and I felt like Media Molecule in London is quite similar to what I’m trying to make.”

For comparison sake, Kojima-san also referenced the team that worked across the Metal Gear Solid franchise, revealing that the total staff count “was over 200 people, something like this…”

In related news, the Game Director has also been revealing new details relating to the studio’s mascot, Ludens.
