Report: No Man’s Sky Release Date Delayed to at Least July or August

With less than a month until No Man’s Sky is expected to release on PlayStation 4 and PC, a report from Kotaku has suggested that it’s delayed until at least July or August.

According to the Kotaku report, one reliable source informed them of the delay, while a GameStop source sent them an image of new marketing material that says, “The release date for No Man’s Sky has changed since the posters were printed. Please use a coming soon pop-up to cover up the date and communicate as needed to your guest about the change of release.”

No Man’s Sky was given a June 21 release date back in March. Considering that most games finish development and go gold at least a month before launch (Uncharted 4 was nearly two months), and neither the No Man’s Sky or Hello Games Twitter accounts have mentioned the game recently, it seems a delay could be likely.

Sony and Hello Games have yet to respond to requests for comments about the delay.
