Free-To-Play MMORPG Neverwinter Making Its Way to PS4 in Summer 2016

Already available on PC and Xbox One, Dungeons & Dragons-based, free-to-play action MMORPG Neverwinter will be making its way to PlayStation 4 in summer 2016, Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios announced today.

Set along the Sword Coast, Neverwinter on PS4 will feature all existing content from the base game, including eight playable classes and nine expansions. The most recent update, The Maze Engine, allows you to play the latest adventures with your friends.

Additionally, Neverwinter doesn’t require PlayStation Plus, will feature optimized controls that incorporate the DualShock 4’s touchpad, and will include Party Chat integration.

Perfect World CEO Bryan Huang said:

Neverwinter on PlayStation 4 secures Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic’s place on consoles. Our goal with Neverwinter has always been to deliver a high-quality, D&D MMORPG that exceeds our players’ expectations. As the PlayStation Nation makes their way through the Forgotten Realms, we look forward to expanding the Neverwinter experience with our upcoming expansion, Storm King’s Thunder, and beyond.

“Fight against the likes of Tiamat, Demogorgon, Orcus, Valindra and many more sinister enemies from D&D lore,” the description adds. “Adventurers will also travel through iconic locations such as Icewind Dale and the Underdark while teaming up with characters straight from the novels of acclaimed author R.A. Salvatore, including Drizzt Do’Urden.”
