World War I Shooter, Verdun, Rated for PS4 and Xbox One

European rating board, PEGI, has apparently outed World War I multiplayer shooter, Verdun, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The listing was removed shortly afterwards, but the board’s announcement on Twitter remains.

It may seem that the rating was released early, but Videogamer.com points to a three-month old Reddit thread in which some users reported that developers M2H and Blackmill Games confirmed the game for PS4 on Dutch TV.

For those who aren’t aware, Verdun is a squad-based first-person shooter that was released on PC last year. Here’s a description of the game on its Steam page where it currently holds positive reviews:

The game takes place on the western front between 1914 and 1918, in one of the bloodiest conflicts in world history. The developers were inspired by the infamous Battle of Verdun France in 1916. The game offers 4 distinct game-modes; Frontlines, Attrition, Rifle Deathmatch and Squad Defense. Also many historically accurate features are included such as realistic WW1 weaponry, authentic uniforms, gore and maps based on the real battlefields of France and Belgium.

We’ll update our readers when we have more info.
