No Man’s Sky Release Date Moved up to August 10 in the UK

When the No Man’s Sky delay was announced last week, Sony and Hello Games said it would arrive on August 9 in North America and August 10 in Europe, but those in the UK would have to wait until August 12. Following some fan feedback, PlayStation UK revealed that it will be out in the UK on the same day as the rest of Europe:

For whatever reason, No Man’s Sky is no longer available for pre-order through the North American PlayStation Store. It’s up in Europe though, and anyone who pre-orders will receive these bonuses:

Upgraded Alpha Vector Ship

  • Your ship is your transport to the stars. Begin your epic voyage with this Alpha Vector attack ship. It’s upgraded with lasers for protection and a hyperdrive that allows you to jump to the nearest solar systems right from the very beginning.

10,000 unit starting boost

  • Your journey will be filled with danger but 10,000 units will give you a head start in your race to the center of the universe. Use your units to buy faster ships and better weapons, or purchase exotic resources.

PS4 Dynamic Theme

  • Immerse yourself in the world of No Man’s Sky with this unique PlayStation 4 system theme.

After apologizing for the delay, Hello Games’ Sean Murray said, “Thanks for the kind words. Wrapping up a 35 hour coding weekend, and feeling fresh. Good things are happening.”

At the moment, No Man’s Sky is only coming to PlayStation 4 and PC. According to TechNewsWorld though, Microsoft is working on getting an Xbox One version.
