Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches Villain Returns in Sequel, Arkane Explains Lack of Multiplayer

Those who are familiar with Dishonored‘s The Brigmore Witches DLC saw a familiar face in Dishonored 2‘s E3 2016 trailer (0.46 mark in the video above). The character looks like Delilah Copperspoon, who appeared in The Knife of Dunwall and was the main antagonist of The Brigmore Witches. In an interview with GameInformer, Arkane Studio’s Harvey Smith has confirmed that the character seen in this trailer is indeed Delilah but he stopped short of revealing what exactly her role is in the upcoming title.

In other Dishonored 2 news, Smith has said that although he “would love” to add co-op multiplayer to the upcoming title, he doesn’t think it’s suited to the series. In an interview with GameSpot, he quoted examples of games like System Shock 2, which he enjoyed solo but found that playing co-op “ruined the experience” for him.

It went from being scary and [making you feel] very immersed in what’s going on…and then you’re watching your friend…boing, boing, boing. Maybe there is a way to do it, but not for this series, I think.

Dishonored 2 will be available on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
